Galt has won numerous awards including; Parents Choice, Child Magazine and Parenting Magazine just to name a few! Galt were established over 150 years ago in Manchester, England. They started as educational stock suppliers in 1836 founded by James Galt a Scotsman from Stewarton in Ayrshire. During the 1850s they diversified into printing and publishing and in 1957 relocated 10 miles down the road from Manchester to Cheadle, Cheshire. The toy division was set up in 1961 and since that time have produced quality educational toys which whilst still being fun allow children to learn whilst they play.
The company has always been associated with Arts and Crafts so it was not surprising that they include Silk Painting and Creative Weaving toys in their repertoire. They also appeal to the younger child with their renowned Playnest and for the older child there is the Horrible Science range. No matter what the age of your youngster you can be sure to find something in their product line which will delight and enthrall them.
Quality control is applied throughout the design, manufacture and distribution of Galt products all of which comply with or exceed current toy safety regulations (primarily BS EN71 and HD271/BS EN50088) and all carry the CE mark and the BS5665 Lion Mark.
